March 26th: CCC&Y’s Kickoff Luncheon and Caring for Children Awards, 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Little America Hotel. In recognition of April, Child Abuse Prevention Month, CCC&Y will recognize 4 community members nominated by their peers for their exceptional direct service and care to children and youth in Coconino Communities. April 1st – 6th: Field of Hope Memorial and Healing Field with a special dedication on April 5th at 5:15 p.m. on the Coconino County Courthouse Lawn recognizing the 92 lives lost to child abuse and neglect.  FLYER

April 9th and 10th: Child Abuse Prevention Conference, Post-Traumatic Growth: From Survival to Empowerment with Guest Speaker, Kate Sorensen. Additional breakout sessions include Child Welfare Reform, Darkness to Light, Stewards of Children Child Sexual Abuse Prevention, Beginning to Apply ACEs in Clinical Practice, and Using Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and Other Energy Psychology Methods with Children and Families, and a Survival Panel.
