From ping pong toss games followed by exercise for children, to a rock climbing wall, line dancing and a trip around the park via a Kiddie Caboose, hundreds of families came to Bushmaster Park in Flagstaff to enjoy a variety of activities at the annual FACTS “Lights On” Festival held on Sept. 7, 2019.

Participants played carnival games, rode a miniature train and gained valuable educational lessons from a  number of educational organizations that staffed nearly two-dozen booths and information tables during the free event, which included STEM demonstration programs and other activities.

Some of the organizations participating in the event included the Arizona Center for Afterschool Excellence, the Boys & Girls Club of Flagstaff, Coconino County Health & Human Services, Coconino County High School Panthers cheerleaders and dance line, the Coconino Coalition for Children & Youth and numerous Flagstaff Unified School Districts FACTS school programs.

City of Flagstaff City Councilmembers Charlie Odegaard and Regina Salas presented the Flagstaff Office of the Mayor Proclamation supporting “Lights On Afterschool Day.”

The event celebrate the FACTS after school program.
